The next generation Chevrolet Volt has made it’s way to the showrooms! In this video, we will be reviewing the top four safety features found in the new 2017 Chevrolet Volt.
While the driver should remain attentive to traffic, surrounding and road conditions at all times, the Chevrolet Volt has a number of safety features to keep you in line when on the road. Here are just a few available features on the 2017 Chevrolet Volt.
SAFETY FEATURES OF THE 2017 CHEVROLET VOLT
- Forward Collision Alert. This available feature monitors the distance between you and the car in front of you. If the system determines that a front-end collision with a detected vehicle is imminent, it alerts the driver to a potential crash. It also warns the driver if their Volt is following a detected vehicle much too closely.
- Lane Keep Assist. This system will alert when you begin to leave your current lane and help you realign your vehicle on the road. At speeds above 37 mph, the available camera-based system monitors road lines and will gently turn the steering wheel if the vehicle begins changing lanes without the use of a turn signal.
- Intellibeam High Beam Assist. This feature automatically adjusts intuitively between low and high beam lights in certain traffic conditions when necessary. When oncoming headlamps or taillamps are detected in front of you, the system adjusts accordingly.
- Front and Rear Park Assist Park. This feature is ideal when navigating tight parking lots and garages. When advanced parking experience is required, such as parallel and perpendicular situations, the system senses stationary objects and warns you when too close. When in Reverse, the rear vision camera displays a live image of the area behind the vehicle on the Chevrolet MyLink screen and includes guiding lines to assist when backing up.
